Trainee develops OutSafe
Trainee Arthur Meacham was developing OutSafe, a system that allows database users to enjoy the benefits of cloud computing without revealing data or access patterns to the cloud provider. After joining the IGERT program and having access to Prof. Helen Nissenbaum as a co-advisor, has opened his mind to social aspects and the social context of the privacy mechanisms that he was looking to design from a purely technical point of view. He is now looking to incorporate these ideas into the design of the system.
