Benefit Cost Analysis course expanded
The Benefit Cost Analysis course taught by Professor Tyner has been expanded to accommodate the SEIGERT graduate students as well as other engineering students working on energy issues. In fact, the course enrollment has doubled this spring to 33. In addition, many energy examples have been included in the homework set to make the application of economic analysis principles directly relevant to the students. Each student does a case study, many of which in the past have resulted in journal papers. The expectation is that students will select a case related to their disciplinary research, so we can achieve a tight integration of economic analysis with the technical research.
