Day-long workshop on environmental conflic management
In the fall of 2011 the IGERT trainees, along with select faculty, staff and students, participated in an Environmental Conflict Management Training Program presented by CDR associate partner Christopher Moore. During this two-day long workshop participants were taught mediation techniques and strategies. We were given the opportunity to practice these skills during dispute resolution activities. During the interactive sessions we were given one-on-one mentoring to enhance our abilities as mediators of tough environmental problems or controversies.
