Sea-slug approach/avoidance behavior neural mechanisms characterized
Participating faculty Rhanor Gillette's lab has characterized the neural mechanisms in a predatory sea-slug that dynamically adapts the approach/avoidance behavior in response to state of hunger and characterized it in terms of the Bayesian risk vs. reward. This work is making important advances in connecting ethology to neuronal networks.
