Achievement

As in previous years, IGERT continues to offer a Spring Seminar Series that is largely by design of the trainees. Trainees present their own research as well as invite and host guest speakers from both inside and outside the universities. The seminars are meant as a small forum to encourage discussion with the presenter. The seminars are attended primarily by IGERT trainees and faculty only, or by invitation. In previous years, themes have included topics such as Technology Transfer and Entrepreneurship. This year's theme is Frontiers of Energy Research and has included researchers from the Air Force Research Labs, Penn State University and University of Massachusetts.
