Achievement

Our IGERT consists now of only one trainee, however, the trainee benefits from interacting with researchers from the NSF Nanoscale Science and Engineering Center for Affordable Nanoengineering of Polymeric Biomedical Devices (CANPBD). This center is much larger than the IGERT and as such benefits our current IGERT trainee. The IGERT program was very important in obtaining this NSF center. Research developments are continuously introduced in teaching. Meaningful group acitivities that provide and foster a social fabric for the trainee through participation in the Council on Nanoscience Graduate Students (CONGS).
