Achievement

The UC Denver IGERT program provides educational outreach services. July 2011, several IGERT PhD students, a program manager and director Ramaswami met with 6 Colorado community leaders, from Lakewood, Eagle, Vail, Montrose, Ouray and San Miguel, CO, to discuss each of the community's greenhouse gas emissions report. This meeting/workshop allowed IGERT personnel to present the communities with obstacles and solutions to implementing ghg mitigation strategies. Also, the communities provided input on translating academic research into action plans for the communities.
