"Physical Cell Biology" course developed
Prof. Martin Forstner (physics) and Prof. Melissa Pepling (biology) are currently working together on developing a new IGERT course on "Physical Cell Biology" to be offered for the first time in Fall 2012. The course will be cross-listed in physics, chemistry, biology and biomedical and chemical engineering and we are encouraging a broad spectrum of students (IGERT trainees and not) to take it. The course will give biology and bioengineering students a more quantitative background for describing biological processes and give physics and chemistry students a strong introduction to biomolecules and cellular processes.
