Research Achievements
Fluorescent proteins used in photoacclimation
Collaborating with California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology and the National Museum of Marine Biology of Aquarium in Taiwan, IGERT Fellow, Melissa Roth, is showing how fluorescent proteins can be used in photoacclimation and buffer their algal symbionts from environmental variation. A new species of parasitic worm on corals in Taiwan was discovered.
