Sea level rise planning document created
A sea level rise planning document was created for the UCSD Kendall Frost Marsh Reserve and Northern Wildlife Preserve (KFR) as a product of this years IGERT class:IGERT class: Wetlands Ecology, Conservation and Management (L. Levin, instructor). The resulting document first introduces sea level rise scenarios for southern California, relevant climate patterns and Kendall Frost resources. It then provides detailed consideration of the hydrology, sediments, vegetation and fauna of the KFR and their likely responses to sea level rise. Subsequent sections treat legal and economic issues and offer solutions and remediation options to sea level rise. A final section presents recommended outreach and education.
