Trainee shares training in NMR spectroscopy
Dan Richmond was able to share some of this knowledge with fellow IGERT trainees through IGERT-sponsored Journal Club meetings during the fall of 2011, because he was trained in NMR spectroscopy by Ananya Majumdar, director of the Johns Hopkins Biomolecular NMR Center, during the summer of 2011, he explained that NMR spectroscopy was a physical tool to study the structure, dynamics, and interactions of biological molecules with atomic resolution. This was especially useful for the IGERT program because NMR spectroscopy was not covered in the IGERT physical chemistry course or lab course.
