Multidisciplinary course developed
A multidisciplinary course has been developed and will be introduced during Fall 2012. This course will provide an overview of several technologies in the area of energy efficiency, production, and storage while highlighting the impact that materials have played in their development and the critical challenges that exist that can be addressed by new materials. The course will also present case studies of the environmental policies as well as science and technology policies in other countries that have been key to the development of these technologies abroad. Students will gain an appreciation for the roles of both advancements in materials and how existing policies impact the development of our technologies which address energy generation, efficiency, and storage.
