Achievement

Nell Campbell, a member of third IGERT cohort applied and was accepted as one of 10 graduate students and postdoctoral researchers at the Department of Energy Workshop: Strategies to Promote Integrated Experiment-Model Approaches to Terrestrial Ecosystem Study. She was of the top 10% of applicants chosen because of her background in an interdisciplinary environment and received a generous travel grant to attend. The workshop discussed linkages between models and experimental work in terrestrial ecosystems, which is very linear to her PhD work allowing her to learn about advancements in this area and make connections that will be valuable for her dissertation work and future career.
