Achievement

We have instituted a process whereby the IGERT trainees meet twice a month (bi-weekly meeting) to discuss the advancements in their research and where the students can seek advice from the faculty and their fellow trainees. These meetings are in addition to the ones held between trainees and their advisers. The meetings have gone well and constructive feedback on current plans and operations has been solicited and received from trainees. This activity has inspired sense of community among the trainees and provide them with a place where the trainees can discuss the aspects of being in such a unique program.
