Achievement

Alumni of the UAF IGERT program, who had been hired as research faculty or as conservation research scientists were instructors in the IGERT core course in Integrative Assessment. These scientists had obtained their interdisciplinary understanding of the topic through their own participation in UAF IGERT courses and thesis research and through their subsequent research and scholarship. A convincing metric of success of our IGERT program is that its graduates are recognized as scholars who are well-qualified to teach IGERT course to current students. These students have found the alumni-taught course to be well-organized and inspiring.
