Achievement

On their own initiative, the IGERT students have conferred together to organize the next international optics conference that cuts across conventional disciplines, the "International OSA Network of Students". We are very proud and supportive of this. The student-led conference will held in the Fall semester, and is a combined session between Columbia and City College (minority outreach). It will also seek support from prominent distinguished scientists in industry/academia, along with international participation from students and professional societal fellowships.
