Trainees receive PhDs and begin professional careers
GLOBES IGERT trainees Adam Bee, Peter Levi, Kelly Lane, and Chris Patrick received their doctoral degrees and began professional careers in positions within and outside of academia. Adam Bee is an Economist with the U.S. Census Bureau, Peter Levi accepted a post-doctoral position at Aarhus University in collaboration with the Danish National Environmental Research, Kelly Lane is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Georgia in a joint appointment at the Odum School of Ecology and the Department of Infectious Diseases in the School of Veterinary Medicine, and Chris Patrick is a postdoctoral researcher with the Weller Laboratory of the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center. In addition, trainee Becky Miller successfully defended her dissertation thesis in April and continues to work as a postdoctoral researcher in the lab of Professor Michael Ferdig at the University of Notre Dame.
