Trainee presents at Association of American Geographers' meeting

David Widner presented his dissertation proposal at the national meeting of the Association of American Geographers in New York City on February 27th 2012. He also received valuable input for this presentation from cohort members and Faculty while participating in the Spring Semester IGERT meeting in Oxford Ohio. The goal of his dissertation is to determine if the gap can be bridged between modern society and primitive culture through the adaptation of non-modern environmental sensors that can be utilized by Swartzentruber (old order Amish) to monitor stream health, which will potentially improve the environment but also preserve traditional culture.
