Achievement

IGERT trainees led the spring, 2013, weekly Perceptual Science seminar. The students met to choose key research topics, and then selected perceptual science graduate students in Psychology and Computer Science (including IGERT trainees and affiliates) to present their research, including theoretical background, to a large group of perceptual science students and faculty. Focus was on the development of communication skills (by the presenters), who received feedback from both faculty and other students. The culminating activity was the end of semester Perceptual Science Forum, where 30 trainees, affiliates and other members of the university community presented posters describing their ongoing research.
