Synthesis of non-Cd containing QDs with ultrahigh QE
John Plumley successfully demonstrated repeatability for synthesis of non-Cd containing QDs with ultrahigh quantum efficiency (QE), up to 90% QE. Peptide bioconjugation with QDs was successfully demonstrated by John with catalyzed and non-catalyzed peptide substrates for MMP enzymes, which subsequently resulted in a significant QE between a batch of QDs with the catalyzed peptide/QDs and a batch of the non-catalyzed peptide/QDs, indicating good feasibility for the method as a MMP biosensor.
