Trainee Achievements
Trainee attends SACNAS and ABRCMS conferences
IGERT trainee Harold Gomez attended the SACNAS and ABRCMS conferences in Fall 2012 as a representative of the BU Bioinformatics Program. He had the opportunity to attend professional development sessions, scientific talks, and career networking events. One professional development session provided advice on choosing a journal when publishing research, how to construct a manuscript, and the ethics behind scientific publishing. Harold also had a chance to meet and talk with nearly 30 students whose combined interest in biology, computer science, and math led them to explore the possibility of a graduate education in Bioinformatics.
