Achievement

IGERT faculty participants Ken Shockley (philosophy) introduced a new case-based instructional mode into the required IGERT course: "Perspectives in Ecological Restoration". The team taught course, which integrates Native American perspectives with environmental ethics, has now been taught five times, with continuous feedback and improvement from the external evaluation process. The case study approach was successful in providing more practice-oriented insights into theoretical topics, and generated positive feedback from students.
