Achievement

This year, our IGERT program saw our seventh trainee complete their doctorate, with three more scheduled to complete their doctorate during the summer of 2013. Our PhDs have had great success following their IGERT training, with many moving on to postdoctoral fellowships at such institutions as MIT, tenure-track faculty positions at such institutions as University of California, and others moving into industry, where they will apply their training to such areas as computational finance. The opportunity to pursue novel interdisciplinary research has, we believe, provided these trainees with unique and much valued skill sets and approaches to complex and important scientific and social challenges.
