Achievement

IGERT Fellow Eamonn Walker has now spent seven consecutive semesters of his graduate career in the Centre de Développement du Calcul Scientifique Parallèle of the 'école Polytechnique Universitaire at the University of Lyon I. While advancing his research he continued learning French and voluntarily teaching TOEIC (Test Of English for International Communications) preparatory classes for French students. He intends to stay in Lyon through his last year as an IGERT trainee and come back to the US to defend his dissertation at the end of it. Eamonn was also this IGERT's representative in the annual video poster competition. He even produced a version with French subtitles for the benefit of his French following.
