SSACalibrator software package developed
IGERT trainee Kevin Sanft mentored UCSB undergraduate Arya Pourzanjani in the development of a software package to automatically select the fastest discrete stochastic simulation algorithm for a given problem and computer architecture. Arya presented this work at the 27th National Conference on Undergraduate Research at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. The software, called SSACalibrator, will become part of our StochKit2 and StochSS software packages for discrete stochastic simulation of biochemical systems.
