Games to improve the effectiveness of decision making
Jim Leonard, Lwd IGERT Fellow, is involved in an IARPA funded project to explore the use of games to improve the effectiveness of human decision making. This involves collaboration between domain experts, game designers, and cognitive scientists. The initial phase of this research has focused on confirmation bias. A paper based on data from this phase has been accepted for presentation at the Annual Meeting of the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society in the Fall of 2013.
