Solar cells' efficiency improved
The total area power conversion efficiency (pce) of copper indium gallium diselenide solar cells via nanocrystal ink based route was improved to 14.2%. Nanoparticles of Cu3P and Cu3SbS4 were synthesized to create solar cells from earth abundant elements. Completed characterization and modeling of high efficiency, 16% cdTe solar cell was completed and a new device structure using thin CdTe Films is now being developed. Defects in CdZnTe films as a function of deposition temperature was modeled.
