Research Achievements
Effects of playing multiple games on learning
The third major achievement relates to research with Jenna Bednar, a political scientist, Yan Chen, a graduate student. We have completed our first experimental paper on the effects of people playing multiple games. The paper is part of a project that includes an interdisciplinary group of graduate students and IGERT trainees such as Aaron Bramson, Nathan Seegert and Andrea Jones-Rooy. In this paper, we do experiments in which people play multiple games to see if context matters in how people learn. We find that it does. We have recently submitted this paper for publication.
