Research Achievements

Cropping system research tracking carbon, nitrogen, water, and energy

NSPIRE integrates with state and federally funded inland PNW cropping system research tracking C, N, water, and energy through conventional and alternative management systems and rotations. Sponsored by Washington Biofuels Cropping Systems Project and USDA, the project focuses on oilseed-wheat systems and advanced biofuel feedstock production, economics, sociology and end use. NSPIRE graduate students Madsen, Maaz, Morrow and their committee advisors are multidisciplinarily engaged in these project cross sections with support from interdisciplinary advisory committee members
