Trainee Achievements
Trainee awarded NASA research fellowship
Trainee Ben Bunes was been awarded a NASA research fellowship in 2012 as a follow on to his work funded through the IGERT program. Ben's new collaboration through the NASA Space Technologies Research Fellowship, provided a basis for projects with the Glenn and Ames Research Centers. Currently, the majority of the work is sensor development with Dr. Azlin Biaggi-Labiosa and Dr. Gary Hunter at the Glenn Research Center. Specifically, they are jointly pursuing the DG-FET sensor and nanofiber alignment. Once the DG-FET sensor technology is ready, they will pursue scaling and sensor array development with Dr. Jing Li at the Ames Research Center.
