Achievement

This past year, we established the basis of an international exchange program with the Graduate School of Environmental Science at Hokkaido University (Japan). This program, while in its infancy, formally recognizes the opportunities that this collaborative program will afford to the Nano Institute of Utah, the many nanoscience researchers at Hokkaido University, and all of our trainees. More so, IGERT trainee China Lim will be the first to travel to Japan in moving this program forward. This exchange program will also be incorporated as both research and educational components of our planned submission to NSF’s call for proposals for Engineering Research Centers with a nanotechnology theme.
