Achievement

The IGERT program has developed a unique portfolio of 4 courses that have been taken by almost 200 students. The 4 courses are NNMD 7270 Introduction to Nanomedicine Science and Technology, NNMD 7370 NanoSystems for Biology and Medicine, NNMD 7272 Nanomedicine Seminar, and NNMD 5470 Nanotechnology and Nanomedicine Commercialization: From Concept To Market.
These courses are broadcast live using video conferencing to UPRM and TU where they are taught as parallel courses:

These courses are seeing increased attendance and visibility, significantly increasing the minority participation in this program.
The IGERT NNMD courses are key components of new programs at Northeastern University: MS in Biomedical Nanotechnologies and the Bioengineering PhD program.
