Special issue journal on adult personality development
Karen Hooker, IGERT PI, edited a Special Issue of Research in Human Development (with Manfred Diehl) on Adult Personality Development: Dynamics and Processes (2013). Included in that special issue of the journal was an introductory article by Diehl and Hooker, and an empirical article by Hooker and co-authors (Hooker, Choun, Mejia, Pham, & Metoyer) that included an IGERT trainee (Mejia). Results showed that personality traits are linked with daily self-regulation of health and social goals. This information may be useful for understanding how to personalize tailoring of health engagement programs to maximize health outcomes.
