Trainee wins Judge's Choice Award
Kuntol Rakshit, a second year trainee in our diet and genetics research core, won a Judge's Choice Award in the 2012 NSF IGERT Video & Poster Competition in June. He presented his current research on “The circadian clock and its neuro-protective role during aging", available for viewing at: http://health.oregonstate.edu/igert/igert-activities-media. His award was used to finance a trip to Bangalore, India where he presented his research: Cryptochrome – The anti-aging clock gene? At the 4th International Insect Science Congress (February 14-17), University of Agricultural Sciences.
