Cohort travels to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology
Our first cohort, Rebecca Berman, Shawn Divitt, Christopher Favaro, Lenore Kubie and Dan Williams, traveled to Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, Ghana. They attended and presented at the International Solar Energy Experts (I-SEE) hosted at The Energy Center at KNUST. The students were warmly welcomed and were able to tour the extensive solar panel installation recently done at KNUST. The students also visited rural elementary schools and using an "Optics Suitcase" gave the students hands-on lessons in the science of solar energy. The lessons were very well received by the students and their teachers, and contributed to an amazing experience for our IGERT students.
