Achievement

The University of Rochester community was invited to attend a seminar series created especially for our IGERT trainees. The series addressed the "inside scoop" on what is it like to work as a recently hired assistant college professor, or as a so-far successful young entrepreneur, or a government agency scientist/manager. The invited speakers gave frank talks about their careers, what led them down the paths they took, the obstacles they had to overcome, the effects on their families, and also shared everything they love about their chosen fields. The speakers then meet with our IGERT trainees individually. This was very eye-opening for our trainees, and very well received.
