Achievement

Ms. Guadalupe Aguirre will be an author of a peer-reviewed journal article to be published at the end of this year, entitled, “Recombination Frequency in the Industrial Yeast Strain JAY585.” This research was facilitated through an IGERT rotation that allowed Guadalupe to work with PI J Lucas Argueso as part of our IGERT program requirements. This will be Guadalupe’s first published article in her research career, and this is a special achievement because her prior educational experience did not involve an active research environment. Ms. Aguirre is proving to become a strong researcher through her efforts in the IGERT rotations.
