Modeling Complex Systems Colloquium
The Modeling Complex Systems Colloquium enjoyed another successful year, with new and continuing Trainees participating on an every-other-week basis. The idea of the Colloquium is that each speaker provides two lectures: one lecture is an introduction to one of the basic concepts associated with their research (e.g., molecular dynamics, stochastic processes, Navier-Stokes equations); the second lecture is a more in-depth discussion of particular research efforts and a description of how this research aligns with the IGERT theme of modeling complex systems. As with last year, the senior Trainees delivered some of the Colloquia, while the IGERT faculty delivered the rest.
