Teams conducting research in Idaho, Costa Rica
Six interdisciplinary teams of students and faculty are actively conducting research in Idaho and Costa Rica. Three teams are working in biological corridors in Costa Rica that have been impacted by anthropogenic change. One team is assessing land use and cover change, social resilience, and ecological processes in the San Juan-la Selva region of northeastern Costa Rica. Another team is examining how a multi-scale governance approach can improve water resource management in the Turrialba region. A third team is integrating economic and ecological data to better understand the values associated with ecosystems services in the Hojancha region of Costa Rica.
