Sagebrush-steppe ecosystem in southern Idaho
One of the interdisciplinary student teams working in southern Idaho is developing a conceptual framework for investigating the sagebrush-steppe ecosystem utilizing an interdisciplinary, social-ecological approach. Amanda Bentley-Brymer, Joe Holbrook, Ryan Niemeyer, and Alex Suazo, working with faculty from multiple disciplines including rural sociology, hydrology, conservation biology and restoration ecology, will involve multiple stakeholders in their research. The team presented their research plans in the annual NSF-IGERT competition via a poster and video submission.
