Achievement

The trainees and associates have ongoing opportunities to present their research to students via a local community college seminar series aimed at increasing enrollment in STEM fields. At UCR the trainees have been instructed in faculty from three colleges (Natural and Agricultural Sciences, Engineering, and Humanities and Social Sciences). We have also had several scholars visit the campus and interact with the trainees in formal settings and in less formal discussions. These visitors include Professor Ben Crow, UCSC, whose work with water allocation and distribution issues in Kenya introduced trainees to issues of water justice.
