Collaboration with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
PI, Silvia Ferrari, and Co-PI, John Albertson, started collaborating with Drs. Gayle Hagler and Eben Thoma from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency during fall 2012. This collaboration included the development of a research project for the WISeNet course, “Optimal Environmental Sensing”, co-taught by Co-PIs John Albertson and Gaby Katul. Additionally, this collaboration includes Drs. Ferrari’s and Albertson’s IGERT trainees Ashleigh Swingler (Mechanical Engineering & Materials Science) and Tierney Foster-Wittig (Civil and Environmental Engineering) who will conduct their WISeNet research experiments at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Research and Development during summer 2013.
