Visiting faculty provide training in unrepresented areas
We proposed to use IGERT funds for visiting faculty to provide training to trainees in areas unrepresented among the faculty in situ, and identified semantics as a major such area. Visiting faculty member Kyle Rawlins developed a new semantics course for the program and worked extensively with trainees on the aspects of their research related to semantics. The great added value to the IGERT program of Prof. Rawlins' instruction and research advising was strongly acclaimed by many trainees.
