Trainee presents to chemistry classes
Trainee Feng (Tom) Zhang in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at MU has made substantial contributions to our IGERT’s outreach efforts this year. He gave presentations to two chemistry classes at Moberly Area Community College (MACC) on April 26, 2013. The course instructor, Dr. Patti Cole, reported that he did an excellent job, “He answered questions well and shared some of his experiences as an undergrad and the transition to graduate school.” He was able to present the concepts and research results at an appropriate level for the students and also keep them engaged. Many of the students are planning to transfer to MU after receiving their Associate of Arts in Teaching or Associate of Science degree at MACC.
