Achievement

The AU-IGERT faculty, trainees and associates have been very productive during this reporting period: 16 refereed journal articles and 3 book chapters have been published, 5 patent applications have been submitted, and 61 conference presentations (with several invited lectures) have been given. Several members of the AU-IGERT team were involved in the organization of a conference on the Auburn campus in June 2012. The Lignocellulosic Biofuels Conference, which was funded by the NSF – Energy for Sustainability program brought experts from industry, academia, national laboratories to Auburn. We used this opportunity to highlight the AU-IGERT program, establish new partnerships, and recruit additional students to the program.
