Achievement

ESP IGERT Associate Director Rigel Gjomemo and faculty member Venkat Venkatakrishnan were co-authors on a patent application related to mobile banking applications. A provisional patent was submitted by the University of Illinois at Chicago’s Office of Technology Management to the United States Patent and Trade Offices. While detailed information regarding the apps cannot be disclosed at this time due to non-disclosure agreements, more information should be available in the future. We have been in contact with three major US banks regarding these mobile banking applications and they have shown great interest in our findings. In addition, these findings are being prepared for publication and presentation at a major security conference.
