Seminar series attracts outstanding scientists
The IPEM Seminar series continues to attract outstanding scientists who not only made presentations of their current research to multi-disciplinary audiences but also interacted with IPEM trainees and faculty over two- or three-day visits. The UW speakers this spring came from the UK (2), Canada (3), and Finland as well as the U.S. A list of all IPEM speakers, their titles, and abstracts can be found at http://ipem.anth.wsu.edu/seminars. And average of 42 people attended the seminars this year between our three campuses (Pullman, Seattle, Vancouver). For most of these seminars we also have DVDs available for checkout to IPEM trainees and faculty. In this reporting year, the DVDs in Pullman have been borrowed 35 times by students in anthropology and biology.
