Achievement

Through the IGERT grant and effort by IGERT participants, a new robotics lab space supporting robotics track courses and research was developed. The new lab space supports a Controls course, a new Haptics course, and the Virtual Reality class. New machines and specialized devices, such as Sensable Omni force-feedback device, make it possible to restructure some of these courses from graduate seminar style courses to hands-on courses with practical lab experiences. The IGERT Trainees were instrumental in making this transition happen.
