Achievement

A key component of our IGERT is that each Fellow completes a minor in Social/Environmental Ethics Policy. During this reporting period, we developed the framework for this minor and have partially developed the first course to be delivered in Fall 2009. The components of the minor will include: - Social History of Science Technology in the 20th Century (course) - graduate seminar in science, technology and environmental policy that includes Washington DC trip to AAAS Science Policy Forum - elective graduate seminar - attendance at Center for Science and Technology Policy Research at CU-Boulder - include a chapter in dissertation on environmental and policy dimensions of their research
