Achievement

Biology 547, Advanced Techniques in Light Microscopy, was offered as credit for the INCBN IGERT students. Enrollment for this course in Spring 2009 reached nearly full capacity at 11 students (up from 6 students 2 years ago). An INCBN IGERT mentor, Prof. Diane Lidke, was instructor of record for the course on the Medical School side. She contributed lectures for the course as well as microscopy demonstrations that used imaging equipment that is part of the Microscopy Facility and purchased by the INCBN IGERT. She also performed demonstrations of single quantum dot tracking for the class.
